JOB DESCRIPTION:
Automated cutting equipment to cut fabric for upholstered furniture while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and quality standards are met.
Essential functions include positioning markers, cutting multiple layers of fabric, using machine software to adjust programs, and inspecting fabric for defects. Responsibilities also include reading production tickets, optimizing fabric yield, separating and organizing cut pieces, trimming excess material, and preparing and bundling parts for sewing. Must understand cutting codes, flow match requirements, and maintain production quality standards while performing other duties as assigned.

POSITION: HR Director
JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic HR Director to lead our HR function in a dynamic manufacturing environment where safety, compliance, and operational excellence are paramount. You'll develop HR strategies that support our production goals while fostering a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Develop HR strategies aligned with manufacturing operations and safety requirements
Implement and oversee safety training programs and workplace safety compliance
Lead blue-collar and skilled trades recruitment to include job posting, candidate screening, interviewing, and onboarding processes.
Manage retention efforts
Develop and oversee performance review processes, provide coaching guidance to managers, and develop improvement plans.
Manage salary administration, benefits enrollment, and work with other upper-level management to enhance current compensation and benefits programs
Implement training and development programs, succession planning and leadership development initiatives
Implement and oversee HR Information Systems, ensure data accuracy, and generate analytics reports for leadership
Ensure adherence to employment laws, conduct regular audits, and manage documentation for legal protection
Ensure compliance with OSHA and manufacturing-specific regulations
Lead workforce planning for seasonal production demands
Manage employee relations in manufacturing environment
Oversee workers' compensation and industrial safety programs
Develop succession planning for critical manufacturing, and administrative roles
Partner with operations, and senior management on productivity and efficiency initiatives
The position has one direct report: the HR Generalist, who supports day-to-day HR operations, including recruiting coordination, onboarding, employee relations support, HRIS/data maintenance, benefits administration, compliance documentation, and general employee service needs.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in HR, Industrial Relations, or related field
SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP) Competency-based HR certification is preferred, measurable experience accepted
6-9 years of HR experience in manufacturing, or industrial environment
Upholstered furniture experience a plus Strong knowledge of labor relations
Strong Experience with OSHA compliance and workplace safety regulations
Understanding of manufacturing operations and production environments
Experience with white and blue-collar workforce management
Strong crisis management and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of workers' compensation and industrial insurance
Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution abilities
ADP experience a plus

POSITION: Inspector - Final Department
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Inspects completed upholstered furniture prior to packing to ensure products meet customer specifications and company quality standards for appearance, finish, and overall quality.
Essential Functions include reading production tickets for instructions, visually inspecting furniture for defects or inconsistencies, and performing minor touch-ups as needed. Duties also include clipping excess threads, steaming fabric when required, touching up paint on finishes, and leveling furniture to ensure proper presentation. Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor or plant manager.
POSITION: Inspector - Inside Upholstery Dept
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Inspect upholstered furniture throughout the production process to ensure products meet company quality, craftsmanship, and appearance standards.
Identify defects or inconsistencies in upholstery, fabric alignment, stitching, and overall construction while ensuring finished products are production-ready.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a motivated and skilled individual with a passion for sewing and upholstery work to help create high-quality furniture pieces that combine comfort, durability, and style.
Sew upholstery fabric and/or leather components including arms, seats, in-backs, out-backs, out-arms, throw pillows, arm sleeves, loose pillow backs, and semi-attached backs with precision and attention to quality craftsmanship.
POSITION: Spring Up
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for installing and securing springs in chair and sofa frames as part of the furniture foundation build process prior to upholstery. This role ensures proper support, comfort, and durability of finished furniture by accurately setting springs according to production specifications.
Duties include installing springs, tying and securing spring systems, and ensuring correct alignment and tension for consistent frame performance. The position requires experience in upholstery spring-up work, strong attention to detail, and the ability to follow production tickets and quality standards. The ideal candidate is skilled in traditional upholstery methods and able to work efficiently in a production environment while maintaining high craftsmanship standards.
POSITION: Trimmer - Outside
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Fit, install, and secure upholstery materials to furniture frames using hand tools, power tools, adhesives, and staples. Build up furniture components using loose fiber, cotton, felt, and foam padding to create smooth, even, and properly shaped surfaces in accordance with quality standards.
Requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in a high-end furniture manufacturing or upholstery environment.
POSITION: Trimmer - Outside - Dressmaker/Waterfalls
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for trimming and finishing upholstery details, specifically dressmaker and waterfall styles, to ensure a clean, refined, and high-end appearance on finished furniture.
Essential functions include fitting, installing, and securing upholstery materials to frames using hand tools, power tools, adhesives, and staples. This role is responsible for creating detailed, high-quality hand-tufted designs with precision, consistency, and craftsmanship to support premium upholstered furniture production.
POSITION: Upholstery - Recliners
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Upholster recliners according to company specifications, ensuring quality craftsmanship, proper fit, and a finished appearance that meets production standards.
Essential functions include applying fabric to all components of the recliner frame and upholstering chairs and sofas as needed to support production demands.
Work requires attention to detail, consistency, and the ability to follow design and construction guidelines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
POSITION: Upholstery - Sofa Line
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Builds full inside upholstery on sofa frames, ensuring quality craftsmanship and accurate construction according to production specifications.
Responsibilities include reading production tickets and applying upholstery knowledge such as flow match, center lines, carry-throughs, and four-way lineups.
Constructs seats by sewing to frames, cutting and applying cotton and borders; builds arms using foam, cotton, and fabric across various arm styles; and upholsters backs with proper pattern alignment and straight grain.
This is a production position; starting pay is based on experience.
POSITION: Wrapping
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Wraps and prepares upholstered furniture for shipment, ensuring products are properly protected and secured for safe delivery.
Essential functions include using staple guns and heat guns to box and shrink wrap furniture according to company standards.
This role requires attention to detail to ensure items are securely packaged, properly finished, and ready for transport without damage.
